We fish 365 days a year and anything can happen at any time. These Are Only Generalities.
WINTER MONTHS (Nov. to March) – These are our windiest and coolest months. Can be rough. Our fishing and what we catch and where we are able to fish are highly dependent on the weather with most of our fishing done out of Muertos Bay. The majority of fishing is inshore for inshore species like pargo, cabrilla, sierra, jacks, bonito and snapper.
SPRING MONTHS (late March to early June) – The waters are warming and many different species are possible as both warm and cold water fish are present. These are the months when we get the most variety and you often don’t know what’s going to bite. Get ready for roosterfish, tuna, dorado, billfish (marlin and sailfish), wahoo, dog-tooth snapper, pargo, cabrilla, grouper, bonito, jack crevalle, sierra, skipjack, yellowtail, amberjack, pompano and more.
SUMMER MONTHS (June to August) – Dorado schools start to move in with the warm waters as well as more billfish. Tuna and wahoo, bonito, jack crevalle, amberjack and the larger roosterfish are also possible.
FALL MONTHS (August to early November) – This is our busiest and most productive time of the year for top-water pelagic species like tuna, dorado, sailfish, blue marlin, striped marlin, black marlin and wahoo as well as large roosterfish and even huge dog-tooth snapper.
